The history of Crazy Eddie’s Sauces…
Back in 1994, I was just twelve years old, getting braver with spicier foods and sauces. My father Eddie was well known by friends and family for making chili that was hot enough to make grown men cry, but with me, we just had fun trying new peppers and sauces. Our family’s specialty dish was chourico and peppers, which I loved making with my father every year when the weather grew cold. By the time I was thirteen or fourteen we had started making our own hot sauces to get the chourico and peppers to the perfect taste with just the right amount of heat. I knew from then on I wanted to make a line of hot and BBQ sauces, but had no idea how, so it remained a dream from a long time.
Twenty-five years later, I decided it was time, and took the first few steps to bring the dream to reality. I decided to dedicate and name the line after my father, who got the name Crazy Eddie as a Scout Master when I was very young. When I surprised him with the sauces, he asked why I didn’t put my name on it, which I replied “It’s because of you I developed a love for hot sauces, spicy foods, and have a seasonal tradition I can continue with my son at the end of every Fall”.
I hope you enjoy the flavors of Crazy Eddie’s Sauces, and become part of our friends and family
